One dead, another injured in shooting at Animas Valley Mall in Farmington
The incident appears to have been a targeted and isolated one, with only one victim involved.

UPDATE 12:14 P.M. – There were two victims. One victim was fatally shot, and the other was transported to the hospital currently in stable condition. The name of the deceased will not be released until the next of kin has been notified.
An investigation is currently underway by Farmington Police following a shooting incident that occurred at the mall.
Unfortunately, the suspect remains at large and has not yet been apprehended by the authorities.
As the investigation is ongoing, further information will be released as it becomes available.
It is important to note that heavy police activity is currently taking place on the mall’s south side near English Road, and as such, members of the public are advised to avoid this area until further notice.
