Father Lindsay McGeorge shoots and kills son Jaiden McGeorge, who he believed was a burglar
The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office said that on Saturday night, deputies went to a home in Webster where a father Lindsay McGeorge shot and killed his son Jaiden McGeorge, who he thought was a burglar.

The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office said that on Saturday night, deputies went to a home in Webster where a father Lindsay McGeorge shot and killed his son Jaiden McGeorge, who he thought was a burglar.

Officers had arrived to the residence located at 2550 County Road 673 earlier on Saturday evening when a man named Lindsay McGeorge, 50, reported witnessing three persons try to enter his home. According to the deputies, one of the individuals was armed with a revolver.
The deputies said that they investigated the area and determined it to be “unfounded.”
Deputies went back to the house later in the evening because the man shot and killed his 19-year-old son, Jaiden McGeorge, who he thought was a burglar.
The sheriff’s office said that there are no charges against Lindsay McGeorge at this time, but that an investigation is still going on.
