Female British hiker plunges to her death in Rosengarten massif in the Dolomites in northern Italy
The 56-year-old fell 98 feet while trekking in the northern Italian Dolomites’ Rosengarten massif.

While trekking with her husband in Italy, a woman from the United Kingdom died after falling from a mountain at an altitude of approximately 100 feet.

According to local accounts, the body of the victim, who has not been identified, was recovered by the mountain rescue team from Tires and transported away by helicopter.
On July 24, the couple was traveling along path 542, via Ferrata Santner, in the direction of the Fronza Alle Coronelle refuge.
It is said to be the second deadly event to occur on the same trail in a short period of time. The walkway is outfitted with fixed rope, stairs, and rungs to aid pedestrians.
