Fleetwood Mac Keyboardist Brett Tuggle Reportedly Dies at 70 after cancer battle

Brett Tuggle, Fleetwood Mac and David Lee Roth Band Keyboardist, Dead at 70

On Sunday evening, fellow rock legend Rick Springfield took to Twitter to share a series of images commemorating his longtime friendship with the late keyboardist Tuggle. Springfield also made the announcement of Tuggle’s passing.

Additionally, Tuggle has worked with a diverse range of artists throughout his lengthy career. These include Jimmy Page and Rick Springfield as well as John Kay and Steppenwolf as well as Tommy Shaw of Styx and Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels, to name just a few. He co-wrote the 1988 hit “Just Like Paradise” with David Lee Roth during their time together.
His two children, Matt and Michelle, are left to carry on his legacy. Matt tells FOX3 that “he was adored by his family so much.” When he was sick, he had the full support of his family. As a father, he was exemplary. He introduced music into my life.”
During Mick Fleetwood’s side project the Zoo, Tuggle got his start in the Fleetwood Mac universe in 1992 and stayed with the band through Lindsey Buckingham’s solo tour at the end of last year. On every Fleetwood Mac tour from 1997 to 2017, he was the keyboardist. He also performed with Stevie Nicks, Buckingham and McVie in numerous shows.
