The Coast Guard is searching for 10 persons associated with the crash (9 Adults and 1 child). Additionally, the plane was bound for Renton.
Sunday’s crash of a float plane in Washington’s Mutiny Bay is believed to have resulted in the deaths of all ten passengers on board, including one child.
The United States Coast Guard first stated that there were only nine persons on board the plane. However, they later acknowledged that there were actually 10 people on board, including the pilot.
On Sunday evening, the United States Coast Guard Pacific Northwest tweeted confirmation of the crash.
According to South Whidbey Fire, the crash resulted in the death of one individual. The pilot had set course for Seattle from Friday Harbor when he boarded the plane.
The United States Coast Guard tweeted that only one body had been found and that the others could not be located.
According to a tweet that was posted in response, Marine 1 is currently providing assistance to the Coast Guard with the manoeuvre.
During the collision, local residents heard a deafening boom as far away as three miles.
