Sara Lee, a former winner of WWE’s renowned ‘Tough Enough’ competition, has passed away at the age of 30, her mother said on Thursday.
The reason of death was unknown.
Terri Lee wrote in a sorrowful social media post, “It is with heavy hearts that we inform you that our Sara Weston has gone to be with Jesus.”
“Everyone is in shock, and preparations are not yet finalized. We request that you allow our family to mourn in privacy.”
Back in 2015, during the sixth season of ‘Tough Enough,’ Sara was one of the contestants on the show. She was praised for her tenacity, and after outlasting all of the other women competing on the show, she was awarded a contract with the WWE for a period of one year.
She was a member of the organization’s wrestling team for the better part of 2016, but in September of that year, she was let go. After that, she continued her wrestling career on the independent circuit.
In 2017, Sara tied the knot with Wesley Blake, a former wrestler for WWE, and the couple went on to have three children together.
Her final Instagram post noted that she was returning to the gym for the first time after having a bad sinus infection.
