Four persons shot inside Onyx Bar and Grill in Machesney Park

In the early hours of Sunday morning, a shooting occurred inside a bar in Stateline, resulting in four individuals being hospitalized, with one of them suffering from injuries that are reportedly life-threatening.

Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department responded to the incident at Onyx Bar & Grill located on West Lane Road in Machesney Park at around 1 a.m.

Upon arrival, several people were discovered with gunshot wounds.

All four victims were transported to local hospitals, and no details have been disclosed about their identities or the suspect’s description.

The Sheriff’s Department has requested that anyone with information about the incident should contact them directly or Rockford Area Crime Stoppers.

Onyx Bar & Grill posted on its Facebook page around 11 a.m. on Sunday that it will remain closed until further notice.
