Today, a man opened fire during a board meeting for inhabitants of apartments in the northern part of Rome, resulting in the deaths of three persons and injuries to others.

Before opening fire in the outside dining area of the Al Posto Giusto cafe, the shooter, identified as Claudio Campiti, 57, could be heard yelling, “I’ll murder you all.”

The victims are Elisabetta Silenzi, Sabina Sperandio and Nicoletta Golisano.

According to reports, the suspect lived in one of the units, was a member of the consortium, and was well-known to the other residents of the complex where the attack took place.

Roberto Gualtieri, the mayor of Rome, convened an urgent security conference in response to “the grave episode of violence that has rocked our city.”

He verified in a tweet that three persons died in the shooting at a coffee shop in the working-class area of Fidene.

According to a witness who spoke to La Repubblica of Italy, “He shot at the consortium’s board of directors.”

“At one point, the weapon became jammed, and some members of the consortium were able to stop it while also unlocking the door.”

“I was able to save myself because I was able to get beneath the table and then crawl out of the room on all fours.”

It has been stated that onlookers were able to disarm the attacker before the police got at the site.

According to a source from La Repubblica, the firearm that was used in the shooting was recovered from a shooting range this morning.

It has been stated that Campiti was not granted a weapons license in the past.
