Gunmen killed nine people including Mayor of San Miguel Totolapan, Conrado Mendoza Almeda and injured at least 20 more

An armed attack was recorded on the town hall of San Miguel Totolaman, in which the perredist mayor Conrado Mendoza Almeda and his father, Juan Mendoza Alameda, as well as seven policemen more municipalities.

An attack was reported against Conrado Mendoza Almeda, who was the mayor of San Miguel Totolapan, local media reported that such person along with his father and members of the police died as a result of the assault occurred during the afternoon of m Wednesday, October 5th.

The total number of killed and injured has not been confirmed by the authorities, on their part, the official Twitter account of the PRD party, condemned the murder, which he called cowardly, of Conrado Mendoza Almeda and demanded justice from the authorities good bye.

Authorities confirmed that several clashes were recorded in the municipal headquarters of San Miguel Totolapan, and also noted that the attack was carried out by a large number of armed civilians.

According to early reports, the criminal group Los Tequileros would have been the criminal organization that launched the attack. On social networks circulated images of the facade of the San Miguel Totolapan City Hall, in which various gunshot impacts can be observed.

Around 5:00 pm the presence of Army members was reported at the scene, some images showed that at the site where the attack happened several bodies were found with blood stains near some vehicles .

In addition to assaulting Conrado Mendoza, according to preliminary information, the armed group would also have fired projectiles at people who were on the streets and even in their homes.

In turn, blocks by carriers were also reported in Poliutla, Guerrero, an area that is about 15 minutes from the place where the attacks were recorded. In the same way, after the armed attack a video began to circulate where alleged members of Los Tequileros appeared.

In the attack also died the father of the perredista mayor who was identified as Juan Mendoza, an exedile. Local media reported that the assault would have left 20 to 25 people injured, according to witnesses in the area.

It should be remembered that the authorities had claimed that the group known as Los Tequileros was no longer operating, however, the recordings that circulated on Twitter and Facebook would mark the return of this criminal group.

Reports were also generated indicating the mayor’s house would also have been attacked. Some villagers decided to shelter in their homes for fear of violent events in the entity.
