Two people shot in Ooltewah-Georgetown, suspect in custody

Ooltewah Georgetown road is temporary closed due to a double shooting

UPDATE: The suspect wanted in connection to yesterday’s shooting on Ooltewah-Georgetown Road has been taken into custody. This incident remains an ongoing investigation.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a double shooting in Ooltewah on Monday.

The HCSO has responded to the 6400 block of Ooltewah-Georgetown Road for the report of a shooting.

The two victims of the shooting, according to sheriff Austin Garrett, have been transported to a hospital where they are both in critical condition.

According to Sheriff Garrett, the suspect is currently at large, and there is currently no description of them or any possible motives that can be discussed at this time.

The identities of the victims have not been made public at this time.

Since Ooltewah-Georgetown Road is currently closed for the time being as part of the ongoing investigation into the incident, motorists are strongly encouraged to steer clear of the area.

Sheriff Garrett asks anyone who was in the area or is a neighbor to contact them if they have any information that can help them solve this case. Ooltewah-Georgetown Road will be shut down in this area for several hours, seek another route.
