The LMPD Homicide Unit released photo of a “person of interest” in a recent shooting incident which occurred earlier this week at Jefferson Mall in Louisville, Kentucky.

There was a shooting on Monday evening at Jefferson Mall, and one person was reported to have been injured.

On Monday, December 12, 2022, around 4:45 p.m., multiple reports of shots fired in the area of Jefferson Mall were received. Preliminary information indicates there was an altercation between individuals in the mall.
This incident spilled over into the parking lot, during which time the male suspect pulled out a firearm and fired several rounds striking the victim. The victim, a male in his late teens, was transported to University of Louisville Hospital in critical condition.
The victim remains in critical condition.
The suspect fled the scene and is still at large. Jefferson Mall was cleared by LMPD around 7 p.m. that evening. LMPD’s Homicide Unit is leading the investigation due to the severity of the victim’s injuries.
