According to Hempstead’s Mayor Waylyn Hobbs, the victim was a male student at a local high school.
At this time, it is unclear whether the incident took place inside or outside the McDonald’s restaurant that is located at 340 Peninsula Blvd in Hempstead.
No arrests have been made.
The police have opened an investigation into the incident.
