Highland High School placed on lockdown after two weapons found from two different student’s backpack
Earlier this morning, as Highland High School leaders were conducting a bag search due to an unrelated matter, a weapon was found in a student’s backpack.
Highland High School Secure Alert lockdown has been lifted.

Earlier this morning, as school leaders were conducting a bag search due to an unrelated matter, a weapon was found in a student’s backpack.
Salt Lake City Police officers are currently on campus helping conduct an in-depth investigation.
Shortly after law enforcement began their investigation, a second weapon was found in the bag of another student.
The school is on Secure Alert as a precautionary measure.
