Hoax call – No active shooter at Bullard High School in Fresno, California

After hearing a loud noise about noon, both Bullard High and Gibson Elementary were placed in lockdown. According to the police, there is no threat and there is not an active shooter.

After hearing a loud noise about noon, both Bullard High and Gibson Elementary were placed in lockdown. According to the police, there is no threat and there is not an active shooter.

Following reports that police were called to the Bullard High School campus in Fresno on Wednesday morning, officers with the Fresno Police Department have stated that there is not currently an active shooter on the premises.

Officers have stated that there have been no injuries reported at Bullard High School or any other school in Fresno in a message that was published on social media. Officers investigated the report and determined that it was a hoax and that there is no immediate threat.

According to Fresno Police Chief Balderrama, “We will conduct a comprehensive investigation of this call and hold those involved accountable.”

Both Bullard High School and Gibson Elementary School have gone into lockdown as a safety precaution. Parents are being encouraged to hold off on making any decisions until they hear more from the Fresno Unified School District.
