This morning, the Spring Township police were notified of a shooting at Wilson High School and promptly initiated a search of the premises with the assistance of the State Police.

Both Wilson High School and Whitfield Elementary School were put on lockdown while the police carried out a sweep of the campus.

The initial sweep of the buildings did not reveal any concerning findings.

However, the police are now dividing into groups to conduct a more extensive search of the buildings and surrounding areas.

Students are currently remaining in their first-period classrooms under the supervision of their teachers.
