Jamal K. Billups shot and killed in a shooting in East St. Louis
No suspect/s have been identified, and there has been no information immediately released regarding any arrests.

During the afternoon of Saturday, there was a shooting in East St. Louis, during which a man was shot and killed, and a passenger in his vehicle was injured.
The victim was identified as Jamal K. Billups, who lived in the 1500 block of North 49th Street in Washington Park, according to the Coroner for St. Clair County, Calvin Dye Sr.
The identify of the injured passenger has not been made public at this time. That individual was taken to the hospital, and it is currently unknown what their condition is.
According to the Illinois State Police, the incident took place at approximately 2:07 p.m. at the intersection of 18th and Missouri Avenue.
According to a press statement, “one male was found dead and another man suffering from gunshot wounds were recovered inside of a vehicle at the junction of 18 street in Missouri,”
According to the release, the inquiry is still going on.
