Kenneth Ray Sears and Nicole Slaughter arrested for the fatal shooting of Eric Dewayne Perry on Lee Street

Two arrests have been made by the Alexandria Police Department (APD) in connection with the homicide that took place on Sunday night, March 19, 2023, on Lee Street.
Police received reports of gunshots and a shooting victim at the intersection of Lee Street and Bank Drive at around 7:00 PM.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers found the body of a 43-year-old man from Alexandria, LA. Emergency medical personnel declared him dead on site.
The victim was identified as Eric Dewayne Perry, 43, by APD Detectives.
Following an investigation, APD Detectives arrested two suspects, Kenneth Ray Sears, 34, and Nicole Slaughter, 41, both from Alexandria, LA. Sears and Slaughter were both charged with one count of second-degree murder.
The bond for Sears has been set at $1,000,000 while Slaughter’s bond is set at $1,001,950.
