Keon Harris and Tyre Pierre arrested in fatal shooting of Jayden Moore at Red Roof Inn in Virginia Beach
He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA, March 23, 2023 – At 02:44 A.M. on March 1, 2023, officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) were dispatched to the Red Roof Inn at 196 Ballard Court for a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located the victim, Jayden Moore (M/22) of Virginia Beach, suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
On March 2, 2023, Keon Harris (M/23) of Henrico was initially arrested and charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
On March 16, 2023, VBPD detectives secured additional charges of 2nd Degree Murder and Use of Firearm in the Commission of a Felony for Mr. Harris.
On March 17, Tyre Pierre (M/22) of Chesapeake was arrested on outstanding warrants for 2nd Degree Murder and Use of Firearm in the Commission of a Felony. Mr. Pierre is currently being extradited back from Florida.
