1 person critically injured after being shot during a fight at South Park Mall

There is no active shooter at South Park Mall. There was, however, a shooting that took place at the location, it was an isolated incident that San Antonio Police are currently investigating.

Following a shooting that took place in a mall on the Southwest Side, one victim is currently in serious condition.

The incident took place on Friday afternoon about two o’clock at the South Park Mall, which is located near South Zarzamora Street and Southwest Military Drive.

According to the police, they arrived at the scene around one minute after they were called and discovered the man suffering from gunshot wounds.

According to the authorities, one party was present at the food court when another group approached them and the two parties started conversing with one another. A fistfight broke out as a result of the earlier altercation. After that, a suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim once in the middle of his torso.

The suspect and his companions promptly made their escape from the scene.

The officers didn’t waste any time and started looking for the culprits.

The person was taken to the hospital in a very bad state.

Police say that several people have been detained and are being questioned.

This investigation is currently taking place and will continue.

Officers are attempting to detain everyone involved. At this point we have information that a victim has been transported to SAMMC in life threatening condition. The scene is very active and will stay active for several hours. SAPD is discouraging people from getting in the area.

According to a statement made by the San Antonio Police Department on their Facebook page, authorities are now investigating a shooting that took place at South Park Mall on Friday afternoon.

The gunshot has been described by SAPD as “an isolated event,” and detectives have arrived at the scene.

Additionally, law enforcement was observed at the H-E-B located on the other side of Southwest Military Drive.

The public is being warned to stay away from the area while law enforcement officials investigate what happened. At approximately 3:15 in the afternoon, an update from SAPD is anticipated.
