On Thursday, a student was detained after making a threat against Lenoir City High School via social media.

According to statements made by Loudon County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Zac Frye to FOX3, Lenior City High School was placed in a lockdown on Thursday morning.
The school was placed in lockdown mode after an active shooter threat was received via social media.
“The student who made the threat is currently detained by the Lenoir City Police Department. According to Frye, the lockdown at the school should be lifted very soon.
We will provide any new information that we have in connection with this occurrence.
