According to reports, Bogalusa Police Department confirmed rapper JayDaYoungan has passed away after being shot in his hometown.

The rapper, whose true name was Javorius Tykies Scott, passed away as a result of his wounds, according to the Bogalusa Police Department.
Kenyatta Scott Sr., a relative of JayDaYoungan, was transferred to a neighboring hospital and is currently in a stable condition, according to police.
Early in the evening, Bogalusa Police acknowledged that there had been two different gunshots, and they said they were looking into a potential correlation between the occurrences.
The first took place just before six o’clock outside a residence on Superior Avenue.
When they arrived, officers discovered that one victim had been transferred to a nearby hospital and that another had been seriously hurt.
The second gunshot was reported on Marshall Richardson Road while police were transporting the seriously injured victim and controlling “a chaotic scene at the hospital.”
Police suspect the shooting that occurred in a vehicle, albeit no passengers were injured, may have been related to the earlier shooting.
The 24-year-old rapper passed away following the shootings, which are still being investigated, according to a later police statement.
It is strongly advised that anyone with information concerning either crime call the Detective Division at (985) 732-6238.
