Major tornado outbreak with violent long track tornadoes expected in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Mississippi, Arkansas and western Tennessee
The National Weather Service has issued a warning that multiple powerful tornadoes are expected to occur during the afternoon and evening.

Today, the central United States is anticipated to experience a tornado outbreak, with several strong tornadoes predicted.
Currently, tornado watches are in effect for various regions, including Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Tennessee, and Texas.
The National Weather Service has issued a warning that multiple powerful tornadoes are expected to occur during the afternoon and evening.
The level 2 Slight risk has been upgraded to a level 3 enhanced risk for tonight. The threat for damaging winds has increased and there is a slim chance of an isolated tornado near the Indiana line. Severe storms are expected just after midnight.



Meanwhile, a rare “high risk” (level 5) has been issued with this storm system. A major tornado outbreak with violent long track tornadoes is expected in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Mississippi, Arkansas and western Tennessee.
From Texas to Iowa, two PDS Tornado Watches have been issued, with the possibility of multiple violent, long track tornadoes. Currently, several tornado warnings are in place, with strong rotation indicated in the southwest of Little Rock, AR.
If you have loved ones in the area, it’s crucial to inform them of the potential danger that could make today very hazardous.
Late tonight or early tomorrow morning, parts of the Tri-Cities region are at a level 1/5 “marginal” severe risk, with damaging winds being the primary threat.
However, there is a possibility of an isolated tornado in the western areas of the region.
