Malachi Cook and Keniyah Blackwell arrested and charged with distribution of marijuana and conspiracy
The investigation is ongoing.

The police received a report of shots fired into a residence on White Rock Terrace in the 6500 block. The residence was hit multiple times.
While in the area, an officer spotted a vehicle matching the suspect’s description and stopped it shortly afterward. A male and female were found inside the vehicle.
During the incident, the male physically assaulted an officer and tried to escape on foot but was captured after a brief pursuit.
The investigation has revealed that the male and female were in the area to sell marijuana. However, the male became aware that the buyer had not paid the agreed price for the drugs and fired shots into what he thought was the buyer’s residence.
The home that was struck was not related to the drug transaction. Fortunately, no one was injured.
The male suspect, identified as Malachi Cook, 19, has been arrested and charged with several offenses, including attempted malicious wounding, assault on a law enforcement officer, distribution of marijuana, shooting into an occupied dwelling, providing false identification to law enforcement, conspiracy charges, and a concealed carry violation.
The female suspect, Keniyah Blackwell, 18, was also taken into custody and charged with distribution of marijuana and conspiracy.
The investigation is ongoing.
