An investigation has led to the arrest of a man, age 36, on suspicion of the ‘murder’ of a missing lady Hina Bashir, age 21, whose body was discovered in east London.

A man has been taken into custody, and a murder inquiry has been opened, following the discovery of the death of a 21-year-old woman in London several days after she had been reported missing by her family.
Earlier this week, Hina Bashir was last seen in Ilford, which is located in east London. Her disappearance prompted the police to begin hunting for her.
In the early hours of today morning, the body of a woman was discovered in Havering, which is also located in east London. Since then, they have made an arrest of a man who is 36 years old on suspicion of murdering the woman.
Even though an official identification has not yet taken place, the Metropolitan Police have reportedly contacted Ms. Bashir’s family, who are receiving help from expert officers.
The police have taken the man into prison after stating that they are “certain” in their belief that the man and Hina knew each other.
However, it did not confirm the precise location where the body was discovered.
Detective Chief Inspector Dave Whellams, who works for the Metropolitan Police Department’s Specialist Crime Command, expressed his sympathies to Hina’s family, saying, “My thoughts are with Hina’s family who have experienced a terrible loss.” Whatever assistance we are able to render to them, we shall do so.
An arrest has been made as a result of the swift investigation that has been going on here. We have every reason to believe that this man and Hina were familiar with one another.
“As our inquiry moves forward, we’ll be attempting to further our understanding of what happened to Hina in the days and weeks leading up to this tragic occurrence as well as in the most recent days.
Anybody who thinks they may have information that could help us is urged to come forward,
Call the police at 101 and give them the reference number 2674/14JUL. You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555 111.
