Officials identified the victim as 27-year-old Dalton Keane of Monaca killed after falling at Acrisure Stadium

A spectator at Sunday’s game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Jets died following a fall on an escalator at Acrisure Stadium.

According to the Pittsburgh Police Department, 27-year-old Dalton Keane, who was from Monaca, Beaver County, died after falling from an escalator at Acrisure Stadium after the Steelers game on Sunday.

Officials with the Pittsburgh Department of Public Safety reported that the event took place at 4:45 p.m., and paramedics treated the guy at the scene before transporting him to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

The victim succumbed to his wounds a short time later and passed away.

A spokesman for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Burt Lauten, was quoted as saying in a news release issued by the organization, “We are aware of a tragic occurrence that occurred inside Acrisure Stadium today.”

We are assisting the local authorities in their investigation into the incident and are working closely with them. To the family of the visitor, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

In order to process the scene at the stadium, the Mobile Crime Unit of the Pittsburgh Police Department was sent there.

The investigation is being conducted by detectives of the Violent Crime Unit.
