Man killed at bus stop outside Walmart at Chef Menteur Highway in New Orleans
NOPD updates homicide investigation outside Walmart in Gentilly

The police reported that a man has died as a result of gunfire outside a Walmart on Chef Highway in New Orleans.
The NOPD SWAT team arrived on the scene and the store was temporarily closed to both entry and exit as officers conducted a search.
The scene was declared clear by the police around 2 p.m. The suspect’s location is unknown at this time.
The NOPD is investigating a homicide in the 4300 block of Chef Menteur Highway and initial reports indicate that an adult male victim has been pronounced dead on the scene, according to Senior Public Information Officer Aaron Looney in an email.
The police received the call about the incident at around 11:25 a.m.
According to witnesses on the scene, the incident appeared to have taken place at a bus stop near the Walmart.
