According to the authorities, a guy was shot and died in Coconut Grove on Christmas Eve, and the police are currently investigating the incident.

The firing began at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday night in the neighborhood of a residence located near the intersection of Percival Avenue and Douglas Road.
According to the authorities, the Miami Police Department responded to the scene after receiving multiple alarms from a ShotSpotter device in the neighborhood. This device listens for the sound of gunfire and notifies authorities when it is detected.
Officers arrived on the scene to discover one male in his thirties who looked to have suffered from many gunshot wounds.
The victim was escorted by the police to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
According to neighbors who heard the commotion, it looked like two distinct people were firing fire based solely on the sounds.
‘I just hear gunshots,’ a neighbor reported. “You first hear a faint sound of gunfire, and then more.”
Detectives worked all night Saturday at the crime scene setting up evidence markers and searching for clues with a K9.
The fatal gunshot that left one family in despair on Christmas has neighbors wondering who was responsible.
The victim’s name and the suspect’s description have not yet been made public by the police.
