Three people found dead inside home after hours-long standoff – and shock details about suspect released

The Phoenix Police Department is currently investigating what seems to be a murder-suicide that occurred in Phoenix late Sunday night. Just before midnight, officers went to a shooting that had occurred at the intersection of 19th Avenue and Buckeye Road.
When the police arrived, they discovered a man who had been fatally shot in the lobby of an apartment building. When police asked witnesses what they saw, they informed them that they saw a guy dragging a woman into an apartment just before they heard gunshots. According to the investigators, the man, who is thought to be from Tucson, had gotten into a disagreement with his ex-girlfriend prior to the incident. As soon as they entered the flat, they discovered that the woman had been shot to death, as well as the suspect, who had also shot himself. The identities of any of the victims have not been released by the police.
Homicide detectives are still conducting interviews and gathering evidence in order to further their inquiry into what took place.
