Maryland Heights Police seek armed person near Dorsett Road and Metro Blvd

Maryland Heights Police officers are currently working an activity scene in the area of Dorsett Road and Metro Blvd looking for an armed subject.

On Friday afternoon in Maryland Heights, authorities issued a warning to the public about a “active scene” as they searched for a person believed to be armed.

In an effort to locate the suspect, law enforcement officers have converged in the area between Dorsett Road and Metro Boulevard. The sequence of events that led up to this predicament is not completely clear at this time.

Steer clear of the area. At 12:45 p.m., the Maryland Heights Police Department sent out a message on Twitter asking residents who were already in the area to “please stay in place and lock all doors and windows.”

The suspect was described as a Black man wearing a dark-colored pullover, a white facemask, and a black bookbag, according to the police. According to the police, he could be on foot or in a grey SUV at this time.
