Metro Boomin’s Mother Leslie Joanne Wayne Killed By Husband Who Commits Suicide Thereafter

The tragic loss of Metro Boomin’s mother at the hands of her husband, who then followed her death by taking his own life, has sent the young producer into a state of emotional turmoil. FOX3 Now has learned.
This past weekend, the tragic news was delivered to the music producer, who is responsible for hits by artists such as Future, Young Thug, Gucci Mane, Migos, Travis Scott, Kanye West, and 21 Savage, to name just a few. His mother’s body was found by police just outside of the Atlanta metropolitan area.
FOX3 has been informed by sources connected to the investigation that it appears that MB’s mother, Leslie Joanne Wayne, was murdered by her spouse before the spouse, who was not Metro’s father, committed suicide after the murder. We’ve been told that this took place on Friday night, but more specifics are sketchy.
In order to determine the official cause of death, an autopsy will be performed. The representative for Metro has confirmed that Leslie passed away over the weekend and has added that he and his family ask for privacy during this terrible time.
Boomin and his three other siblings were all raised by Leslie in St. Louis. She is reported to have been one of the first individuals to recognize her son’s musical talents and to have inspired him to continue pursuing his love throughout his childhood and early adulthood. In the hopes of getting his career off the ground, she would even drive him from St. Louis to Atlanta so that he could work with artists he was connecting with.
She was inextricably bound to her son, and despite Metro’s meteoric rise to fame on a global scale, she remained at the forefront of his thoughts at all times.
