Michael A. Green arrested in connection to shooting of a 26-year-old woman in Green Hills
An arrest has been made in the shooting of a 26-year-old woman in Green Hills.

Detectives this morning charged Michael A. Green, 19, with attempted criminal homicide, especially aggravated robbery, and especially aggravated kidnapping for attacking and shooting a 26-year-old Nashville woman last Monday night as she walked on Esteswood Drive at Trimble Wood.
Relentless investigation by members of the MNPD’s Non-Lethal Shooting Team and detectives assigned to the TITANS (The Investigative Team Addressing Neighborhood Shootings) Unit led to the identification of Green as a suspect. He is alleged to have used his Dodge Avenger sedan to commit the crime. The investigation continues to identify at least one other suspect in this case.
Green is also facing charges of carjacking, use of a gun in the commission of a dangerous felony, and unlawful gun possession. Those arrest warrants were issued Saturday in relation to a January 23rd case in which Green is alleged to have robbed a 43-year-old woman of her Dodge Journey minivan on Burnett Road in Old Hickory.
At the time of Green’s apprehension Saturday night, he was free on $55,000 bond stemming from his May 2022 arrest on charges of especially aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery. In that case, Green is alleged to have robbed a man at gunpoint at a Madison apartment complex, bound the victim’s arms and legs with duct tape, and placed him into the trunk of a car. The victim said he was driven to a wooded area near Percy Priest Dam and then released.
Green is jailed this morning in lieu of $1.32 million bond.
