On 02/27/23 at approximately 0300 hours, Montclair Police Department responded to the area of Ramona Ave/Holt Boulevard regarding a shooting that just occurred.
Upon arrival officers located a male subject (35yr old) suffering from a gunshot wound.
The male subject was transported to a local trauma center where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
A short time later Montclair Detectives arrived on scene and continued the investigation. At this time it appears the shooting may have been gang related.
This investigation is currently on- going and leads are actively being worked.
