Naugatuck High School on lockdown due to unspecified criminal investigation. Police state there is no threat to any students at this time 2:45p.m.

Naugatuck high school statement: We are currently in a Code Red lockdown at NHS. We have had an unconfirmed report of a student in the building with a weapon, and have entered a lockdown out of an abundance of caution.

Naugatuck Police Department stated At this time there is an active criminal investigation taking place at the high school that is being taken seriously.

At this time the high school is in lock down there is no threat to the students.

Avoid the area.

Multiple officers were dispatched to conduct investigations.

As at the time of this report, there has been neither confirmation nor identification of any victims.

No suspects have been identified, and there has been no information immediately released regarding any arrests.
