Emergency services have completed the clearance of Beaufort High School. No gunshot victims were located during the search nor was a shooter found.

UPDATE: As of 11:10 a.m., Emergency services have completed the clearance of Beaufort High School. No gunshot victims were located during the search nor was a shooter found.
At this point, the origin of the original call is being investigated.
Beaufort County School District is coordinating a reunification plan for students and parents. Parents of Beaufort High School students are urged to monitor text and email communications from the school district for those instructions.
UPDATE: As of 10:36 a.m., area Beaufort and Lady’s Island schools remain on a modified lock down. Again, no victims have been located.
UPDATE: As of 10:27 a.m., first responders continue to clear the school. At this time no victims have been located.
ORIGINAL MESSAGE: The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, Beaufort City Police Department, as well as other first responders are on scene at Beaufort High School located at 84 Sea Island Parkway.
At approximately 9:30 a.m., this morning, October 5, 2022, emergency services were dispatched to Beaufort High School for the report of shots fired.
Emergency services are actively clearing the school.
At this time, no victims have been located.
