Officer-involved shooting closes Concord Mills Mall

An officer-involved shooting at Concord Mills. The mall is closed until further notice.

After a gunshot that involving a law enforcement officer at Concord Mills on Wednesday afternoon, the authorities declared that the shopping center will remain closed until further notice.

The Concord Police Department asked individuals to “please clear the area” in a tweet that was sent out.

With the assistance of the NC SBI, we are currently investigating an officer involved shooting at Concord Mills Mall.

The authorities claim that the situation has been secured and that there is no threat to the general public.

There was no more information that could be obtained straight away.
