One dead, several injured after car crashes into pedestrians during police pursuit in San Francisco
The suspect was detained on scene, according to police.

According to the police, a carjacking incident led to the death of one person and injuries to four others after the suspect fled in a city vehicle and engaged in a pursuit that culminated in a crash in San Francisco.
The incident was reported on Tuesday at approximately 10 a.m. when the police received a report of a potential carjacking near Folsom and Mabini streets.
Officers located a vehicle matching the description in the vicinity of Kansan and 25th streets, which initiated the pursuit.
According to the police, the suspect vehicle led officers on a pursuit throughout city streets, ultimately resulting in a collision at the intersection of 16th Street and Potrero Avenue.
Police have detained the suspect at the scene and are urging the public to avoid the area while they conduct their investigation.
The victims involved in the incident were taken to a hospital, where unfortunately, one of them succumbed to their injuries, as reported by the police.
The suspect has also been transported to a hospital for further assessment.
