One person dead after shooting at parking garage in Downtown South Bend

A homicide investigation is under way following a late-night shooting at a parking garage in Downtown South Bend.
Just after 11:20 pm on Sunday, South Bend Police were called to the Wayne Street parking garage in the 100 block of E. Wayne Street to investigate a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
His name is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification.
This is an active and ongoing investigation and is being handled by our Violent Crimes Unit.
