One person dead and several injured after a shooting at a house party in Macomb
As a precautionary measure, the hospital has implemented lockdown procedures.

According to the Macomb Police Department, a shooting occurred at a house party in Macomb resulting in the death of one person and several others sustaining injuries.
The police department received a call reporting shots fired at the party located on North Johnson Street around 1:55 a.m. on Saturday.
The police stated that the shooting followed a fight that broke out.
The authorities confirmed that one person was declared dead at the location and several others were shot and taken to McDonough District Hospital for medical treatment.
As a precautionary measure, the hospital has implemented lockdown procedures.
The police have stated that this was an isolated incident and there doesn’t appear to be any danger to the general public at this moment.

The police have also requested that anyone with video footage of the incident email it to citizenconcerns@macombpolice.com.
Additionally, the Macomb Police Department received assistance from various agencies including the McDonough County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois State Police, Western Illinois University Office of Public Safety, Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, Lifeguard Ambulance, and Galesburg Area EMS Ambulance.
