One person dead following shooting in Augusta
Upon arrival, Deputies located a unresponsive male victim that had been shot at least twice.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is now conducting an investigation into a homicide that occurred early in the morning.
At 2:48 in the morning on February 1st, deputies were dispatched to the area of Sullivan Road and Hollis Road in response to a report of shots fired in that location.
Deputy sheriffs found a male victim who was unresponsive and had been shot at least twice when they arrived at the scene.
The Coroner’s Office determined that the victim had passed away at 4:09 in the morning.
According to the reports, the victim was killed immediately after concluding a live stream on Facebook, during which he taunted others in the neighborhood and announced that he wasn’t afraid to be out there.
There are reports he is the grandson of a local elected leader.
