One person killed after shooting in Decatur

The police were summoned to the vicinity of Main and Haworth in Decatur following reports of a shooting.
On Thursday morning, a Millikin Campus Safety Advisory was sent to students informing them that the Decatur Police arrived at the scene around 10:19 a.m.
The advisory stated that upon arrival, the police found a victim in the area, and that the suspect or suspects had already fled, possibly in a silver sedan.
The victim was given medical treatment and taken away from the scene by EMS.
The advisory also noted that it was believed that this incident was limited to the individuals involved and did not pose an increased danger or threat to the campus community.
