Both parents of toddler Aiden McCarthy killed in Highland Park mass shooting
A little boy was found in the aftermath of a mass shooting that took place during a Fourth of July parade in Highland Park. The authorities in the suburbs of Chicago are currently attempting to determine the identity of the boy’s parents or guardians.

Kevin McCarthy, 37, and Irina McCarthy, 35, were among the seven people were killed during the mass shooting. Their son, Aiden, was separated from his parents during the chaos.

UPDATE 1:38PM: Happy to at least report that the little boy’s grandparents have been found and he has been united with his grandparents. No word yet on the parents but the boy is now safe with family. Thank you to all of you who have shared!

A photo that is being circulated throughout several social media platforms. On Monday, we see the boy, whose age has been estimated to be somewhere about 2 years.
The person who initially uploaded the photo, Dane Ruder, stated that the boy was given to her by an unknown person during the parade, and that he is currently in the care of her family.
Ruder claimed that the youngster is too young to know his parents’ names and hasn’t revealed his own to her.
Ruder’s number is 847-612-7358, and anyone with information about the youngster or who recognizes him is urged to call.

Lockdowns in the area of Chandler have been lifted, subjects detained

Chandler Police have subjects detained. Lockdowns in the area have been lifted. There are no threats to the public.
Police were working on an active police incident near the area of Arizona Ave & Chandler Bl.
There are numerous police units in the area; please use caution & stay out of the area.
Statement from Chandler High School and Galveston to Families:
Out of an abundance of caution, Chandler Police have put CHS and Galveston on modified lockdowns due to a police investigation in the area. All students are safe. This matter does not involve our schools. We will communicate again once police have advised us to lift the lockdowns. Please do not come to the school. Teaching and learning do continue. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
This is an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the public.
