Patrick Xavier Clark, a suspect in the shooting death of rapper Takeoff that occurred in Houston a month ago, was taken into custody.

Patrick Xavier Clark, 33 years old, has been charged with the murder of Takeoff, according to the Chief of Police of Houston, Troy Finner. He was taken into custody on Thursday evening.
On November 1, Takeoff—whose real name was Kirsnick Khari Ball—was slain when shooting broke out outside of a private party at a bowling alley in Downtown Houston. Two additional people were shot at but survived.
The incident is being investigated as a shooting that occurred after a game of dice, but Takeoff was just a bystander.
“At the occasion, there was a potentially lucrative game involving dice that was played. After the game, there was a confrontation that took place outside of the bowling alley, which ultimately resulted in a shooting “said Sgt. Michael Burrow of the Homicide Division of the HPD. “I can assure you that Takeoff was not involved in either playing in the dice game or in the argument that took place outdoors. I can also tell you that he was not present when the argument took place. He did not have a weapon.”
Takeoff had gunshot wounds to the head and torso, according to the findings of an autopsy. A homicide was determined to be the cause of his death.
There has not yet been a conclusion reached in the inquiry into the shooting. Over thirty people who were standing outside after the shooting fled the scene without providing a statement to the police, and the police believe they still need to speak with many of those people.
“It is difficult for everyone affected when a person is slain in our community. This includes the individual’s family as well as their friends. Everyone has a right to a thorough investigation, “Chief Finner added. “However, the investigator stated that it is necessary for others to step up as well. Be a good citizen and do your share. And if you notice something, you have a responsibility to speak out. You can’t afford to let the fear hold you back. We are all in a better and safer position because you had the courage to speak up and say something.”
Takeoff, who hails from the suburbs of Atlanta, was a member of the rap group Migos, which also included his uncle Quavo and cousin Offset.
