Pebble Hills High School on lockdown after student brandished a gun in boys restroom

There is no indication of an active threat.

Update: Student arrested from home. He was not present at Pebble Hills High School. He admitted it was an old post.

Following an alleged incident in which a student reportedly displayed a weapon in close proximity to the Pebble Hills High School campus, the school is currently under lockdown.

El Paso Police have verified their involvement in the inquiry. We contacted the Socorro Independent School District to obtain additional information about the event, and they have provided the following statement:

“Pebble Hills is presently under lockdown. There is no indication of an active threat. We do not have any further details at this time. Please refrain from attempting to pick up your child from the school.

While on campus in the bathroom at the high school, a student posted a selfie saying he had a gun in his backpack.

The student was arrested.
