Pele final photo shared by his daughter Kely Nasicmento

Kely Nasicmento was photographed with her father Pele when he was receiving treatment at the hospital.

Devastated Kely Nasicmento described the anguish she felt after the death of her famous athlete father.

Pele had been undergoing treatment for a tumor that was located in his colon, but he stopped responding to the treatments he was receiving.

Now it has been verified that he has died.

Tonight, Kely shared on Instagram a snapshot that she took of her family comforting Pele by holding his hand while he lay in a hospital bed.

He had been in the Sao Paulo Albert Einstein Israelite Hospital since the end of November.

She wrote, “You are the reason we are what we are.

“We love you infinitely. Rest in peace.”

After posting before Christmas that members of Pele’s family will spend the holiday period with him in the hospital, Kely added three heartbroken emojis to her post.

The day before yesterday, she uploaded a heartfelt statement in which she stated that her family was going through “sadness and despair.”

She shared a picture on her social media account in which she was seen alongside her sister Flavia as well as two of Pele’s grandkids, Octavio Felinto Neto and Gabriel Arantes.
