Several people suffered burns, including minors, after the explosion of a torito in the community of Tehuetlán, in Huejutla, Hidalgo.

A pregnant woman and 3 minors are among the 17 injured, who left a fireworks explosion at their patron parties in the municipality of Huejutla, Hidalgo.
The incident occurred when inhabitants of Tehuetlán were carrying out the traditional “costume detape” celebration and it’s at the moment when the explosion happens.
Before that, the municipal authorities issued the following statement:
Regarding what happened last Saturday night in Tehuetlan during the term of Xantolo 2022 activities, it is reported:
Elements of Civil Protection, Public Safety, Firefighters and the Mexican Red Cross were at the scene of the incident to handle emergency situations; which allowed to act immediately and activate the protocols.
In that sense, once the fire that caused the detonation of fireworks was controlled, the people who were injured with burns were attended to.
A total of 17 injuries were reported, including 3 minors and 2 pregnant women, who presented first-degree burns and nervous breakdown; a girl registered second-degree burns.
All of them were attended at the Tehuetlan Urban Health Center, Regional Hospital, Huazalingo ambulance, Fire ambulance and Mexican Red Cross.
The report indicates that since early morning this Sunday, the affected returned to their homes without major complications.
