Driver ejected, killed in 3 vehicle crash in Clay County

One individual was killed after being ejected from their vehicle in a crash Monday morning on US 69 and Jesse James Road.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says that at 10:19 a.m., Richard Dobbins, 30, of Excelsior Springs, did not stop at an intersection and hit the passenger side of a 2012 Nissan. Then, the front of a 2019 Chevrolet was hit by the Nissan.
Dobbins’ car flipped over into a ditch, and he was thrown out. On the spot, Dobbins was said to be dead.
When the accident happened, Dobbins was not wearing a safety device, according to the report that was written up.
The driver of a Chevrolet was carried to the hospital with minor injuries, according to the police report.
