According to sources within the police department, multiple suitcases that were recovered inside an apartment in Brooklyn on Wednesday afternoon appeared to contain various body parts.

After receiving a call about a disturbance on the sixth floor of the residence located at 315 Linwood Street in East New York at approximately 1:30 in the afternoon, the authorities found the grisly discovery there.

After getting information that the tenant, a woman in her 20s, could not be located, the authorities entered the apartment and discovered blood and human remains, according to the sources. The tenant had been reported missing.

According to the sources, a person of interest had been located and was being sought for interrogation as part of the investigation.

An inquiry into “a significant quantity of blood” discovered at the property was reportedly ongoing while the NYPD awaited search warrants on Tuesday night. Officials stated that the probe was under way.

According to Kim Angeles, 24, who lives next door to the horrific scene, the building superintendent was the one who initially discovered human remains in the adjoining flat and alerted the police.
