The Topeka Police Department is conducting an investigation into a shooting that took place early on Saturday morning and left one person injured.

The Topeka Police Department is conducting an investigation into a shooting that took place early on Saturday morning and left one person injured.

On Saturday, October 1, just before 6 o’clock in the morning, officers from the Topeka Police Department were dispatched to the 3000 block of Southeast Powell after receiving reports of a shooting in the area.

When the authorities arrived, they reported finding one adult who had been shot and was being transported to the hospital by personal vehicle with injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening.

The Topeka Police Department (TPD) stated that the event is still being investigated by officials while they continue to gather information.
