The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office has revealed the name of the person who is thought to have shot two people at a Ladson DMV on Tuesday.

On Tuesday afternoon, deputies with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office responded to a complaint of a shooting that took place at a Department of Motor Vehicles office. The incident reportedly left two persons injured.

According to the police, deputies were called out to assist at 1:30 p.m.

The two people who were shot were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries, according to Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis, who spoke with reporters in the afternoon on Tuesday. Lewis provided a description of the suspect, which included that he was black, between the ages of 18 and 24, of a slim frame, and that he was wearing skinny jeans, Crocs, and a grey hoodie.

According to the authorities, the suspect’s SUV carries a sticker that reads “Loyalty Riders” in white lettering.

According to the sheriff, an argument that began in the parking lot continued into the DMV, which ultimately resulted in a shooting.

Both the Berkeley County and Charleston County Sheriff’s Offices have deputies searching the area for the suspect, who is believed to have fled on foot after the incident. It is requested that people keep away from the location, and motorists should avoid driving through the area if at all possible.

According to the administration at the school, the Stratford High School was placed under lockdown “out of an abundance of caution.”

This is an active scene.
