Police need help identifying 3 suspects involved in fatal shooting of Christopher Marteen outside of south Columbus McDonald’s
The shooting happened around 9:20 a.m. in the 3500 block of South High Street.

Investigators need help identifying these people who are wanted for a homicide that happened around 9 a.m. on January 14, 2023 at 3500 S. High St.
The three suspects were captured on surveillance video leaving the scene after the time of the shooting. The victim, 42-year-old Christopher Marteen, was shot in the chest and died from his injuries. Reports indicate that he was attempting to locate his stolen vehicle when he was shot.

Just before 9:20 in the morning, officers were sent to the 3500 block of South High Street after receiving reports of a shooting taking place there. Officers located Christopher Mateen, 43 years old, lying in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. Mateen was found lying in the parking lot.
Mateen’s health was deemed to be critical, and he was transported to Grant Medical Center. According to the police, he was pronounced deceased at 10:03 in the morning.
Initial indications indicate that Mateen was attempting to find his stolen vehicle when he was shot, which is what led to his death, as stated by the police.
No arrests have been made.
